Whats wrong with me, I’m a 19 yr old female and I’m going bald?

It started when I was 17 and now i’ve lost about 40% of my hair.. I’ve been to see endocrinologists and dermatologists and no one can tell me whats wrong. All my blood tests are normal except for testosterone and estradiol both of which are *below* the normal female range. My testosterone levels are only 0.6 (normal 0.8 – 2.0) and my estrogen levels are in the menopause range. I still have regular periods though. The doctors are baffled…. Why do I have such low hormone levels and Hair Loss???

Family history of Baldness, including female baldness or thin hair is important because genetics can play a major role. If you live in a large city, your personal physician or your dermatologist may be able to refer you to a dermatologist with special expertise in baldness. I’m not talking Hair Transplants here.
